We've been caring for peoples' homes and precious pets for over 20 years and have built up quite a reputation in that time. We work with a number of lifestyle companies, who wholehearted recommend us to their clients. We also have a great relationship with vets from up and down the country. Having that endorsement from the people who know animals better than anyone is a huge feather (or tuft of fur) in our cap.

We don't take just anyone into the House Sitters family. All of our sitters have great experience looking after other people's homes and the vast majority have pets too. That way, you can be sure that our nationwide home and pet sitting services are being carried out by the right people.

Cats or chameleons, dogs or dinosaurs, our top priority is that we find you a sitter that can look after your furry friend (or friends). We know that a big change, like your absence for a period of time, can be stressful for your pet. We want to learn their routine, keeping their day-to-day life as close to normal as possible and making the transition, away from and then back to you, as seamless as possible. We all want to see happy pets when we come home!
Home
With our nationwide home and pet sitting services, whether you have pets or not, our main priority is to make sure we care for your home. We keep things tidy, receive packages, water plants and always treat your home with respect. We're a security presence too, making sure lights are on at the right times, so that people know your house is occupied. Our sitters are sticklers for tidiness and some of them have green fingers too, so if there's any minimal gardening work that needs doing, there's a good chance we can cover that too.

The right sitter
If you'd like to meet your sitter before they “move in,” we can arrange a ‘pre-visit' for you at a time that suits.
Our process
- Get in touch through our enquiry form and tell us the basics about your home, your pets and your time frames.
- We'll have a good chat about your situation and, based on that, we'll find you a sitter that meets your needs. If you would like a ‘pre-visit,' we'll arrange that for you.
- We complete a checklist, which covers exactly what you want from us and when you want it done.
- The sitter arrives whenever suits you. They can show up just before you leave, so you can hand over the keys and give them any final bits of info you'd like them to have.
- While you're away, we keep in close contact with your sitter to make sure that everything's running smoothly.
- Just before you come back, our sitters can do that “come-home” grocery shop for you, before they pack up, give Mr Mittens one last stroke behind the ears and make way for your return.
- A couple of days after you get home, one of our senior managers will give you a call to make sure everything has gone the way you'd hoped and that your house is safe and your pets happy.
